ACCESSING THE PTS
If you have a PC account for The Elder Scrolls Online you can access the PTS for free. Here's how you can download the PTS and create a max level character.
ACCESSING THE PTS
Open ESO launcher
Click the cog icon in the top right corner
Check the “Show Public Test Environment” box
Click “Apply”
Back on the launcher you will now see the PTS active and the game will begin downloading
**Download speeds will vary based on numerous factors including your internet connection and
device capabilities.
Once the download is complete, click “Play”
**Your log-in screen will be the same as normal, except you’ll notice the server is “PTS”. This cannot be changed as you would to switch between the NA to EU server. The PTS is its own game download.
CREATING A MAX LEVEL CHARACTER
Once you log in you’ll be able to choose one of your current characters or create a new one at level 25 or max CP. Available existing characters you can choose from is based on what server your non-PTS server is logged into on your main login (NA or EU).
***What you do on the PTS DOES NOT impact the live server. Any CP gained, houses designed,
quest rewards, characters deleted, etc. will not transfer to your live account***
If you would like to create a new character on PTS that is max CP and has all the goodies:
Click on “Create Character”
In the upper left of your screen use the drop down to select the “Maximum Level” option
Proceed with character creation as normal
Once you login you will notice your inventory will contain a plethora of items for you to play around with:
