BUILD HUB OVERHAUL

Hello Gamers, Dooma here!

I have always wanted the site to be a place you could come for accurate and reliable information. Update 46 has turned ESO builds on it's head, and its time for us to change things with the website. I had to make a really tough decision today and I nuked all of the class build pages. We had already intended to slowly shift over to the more modern Build Hub with filters to find what you are looking for more efficiently, created by the amazing Fox Den (Located: Here!), but I expedited the process today and removed all of the class pages and old pre-U46 builds early.

I'll explain why: 1) I don't want to the site to become a place that is bloated with tons of outdated builds players have to pick through a confusing mess to try and find something relevant. Out of respect for your time, I don't want your time wasted doing so. It's a long, perpetual process of play testing and updating builds, creating new builds, and during all that time, people are viewing the site and getting potentially outdated info.

2) It's already becoming our own confusing mess between new builds, old builds that still work, old builds that don't work, old builds with YouTube guides, those without YouTube guides, builds in progress, and everything in between. I want one single clean and updated Build Hub for you, that you can trust and rely on to be current. Also important: simple to navigate.

3) It's just time. It's time to let go of the old, accept the game has changed, and embrace the new way of things. Most people dont want to play a build that is a shadow of itself vs. a subclass upgrade, especially since it's part of the base game. And for those that do enjoy the older builds, the YouTube guides arent going anywhere, so the information is still there available for you. On the note of older pre-U46 builds: Just because subclassing exists (various specific nerfs aside) that doesn't mean that any of the older builds are any less effective than what was presented on YouTube. There are just typically ways to improve them further now with subclassing.

My personal outlook on this is: if you are playing content where other player's success, or time spent being validated, is dependent on your ability to do well, it's probably a good idea to embrace the best version of the build you have access to, both for PvE and PvP.

However, if you play primarily solo content, then who cares. Have fun, play what you want. Play a build from 2014 if you want to. As long as you are having fun doing what you are doing, no one else's opinion's really matters. But, if you are in a dungeon group, or a Battleground, or a Cyrodiil group/zerg, or any place where other people are hoping you are the best version of youself, let's get those builds updated, and we all shine. I want you to shine with what you choose to play from this website. I hope you understand and thank you for reading. More importantly, thank you for your interest in our work. Keep an eye out on our new Build Hub for updates to some of your favorite builds, have a wonderful day, and God Bless. -Dooma
